MONICA UPPAL

Monica was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, where she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and eventually to Calgary. She majors in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Haskayne School of Business. She is a strong believer that the future of business will require businesses to exploit technology and welcome innovation with open arms. Monica has served in many esteemed positions, including as the Director of Charity for the Haskayne Commerce Undergraduate Society, as well as student-at-large for the University of Calgary Student's Union. Additionally, she has competed in the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition, placing first among the top six teams across Canada. Her plethora of experience is invaluable to The Haskayne Report.

SAHIL GAUR

Strategy and Leadership

Sahil was born and raised in Calgary, where he now majors in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Haskayne School of Business. He is adamant that employees are a company's greatest asset, and that the success of any given business rests on its ability to capitalize on organizational talent. He has served for three years as the Director of Engagement for the Sports Management Society at the University of Calgary, in addition to being a delegate at the Queen's University Sports Industry Conference and runner-up in the Ernst and Young Accounting Competition. Sahil also brings a significant amount of philosophical knowledge of business theory and ethics.

JOSE MONACO

Senior Editor
Finance and Economy

Jose was born in Punto Fijo, Venezuela, and brings an impressive resume of business experience. He majors in Finance at the Haskayne School of Businesss. His work at Suncor as a financial analyst, as well as his involvement with Finesse Wealth Management (University of Calgary) has given him insights that he uses to filter articles through a financial and economic lens. Additionally, his minor in Communications allows him to succinctly and effectively streamline the voice of his contributions to The Haskayne Report.
